Public space and choreography residency: showing-sharing "Game with body cards"

Author:
Brite Vilgo, Kristina-Maria Heinsalu
lavastus-pic

The lecture series "Public Space and Choreography" of the 2021/22 season at Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava explores the connections between public space and choreography. How the environment around us forms a meaningful space; what new attitudes and relationships can emerge from existing places; how can choreography influence and conceptualise public space; what are the choreographies of urban space.

Choreographers Brite Vilgo and Kristina-Maria Heinsalu have studied the functionality of sculptures and how to sense the therapeutic effects of sculptures. It is important for them to perceive the sculptures through the body.

As a result of their residency they have created sculpture-body-mind perception cards, which guide you to self-reflection and lead the way.

PARTICIPATION IS FREE! Registration through Fienta is required.

Body perception cards are inspired by public space sculptures and take the viewer to experience six sculptures through themselves, the human body and the body sculptures of two artists. Through this observation, the process of finding connection in one's life within ourselves and with others gains importance and value.

You are welcome to play the cards and discover the questions and answers that arise from you. If necessary, the process on location can be translated into English.

It would be good to come in comfortable clothes so that you can move if you wish to!

The game lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half.
