Theatres

Theatre Varius is an NGO, which has been operating as a theatre since 1987. The founder, author of texts and director is Heidi Sarapuu.

At first, it was a poetry theatre, which introduced the work of Estonian authors, but soon, literary and cultural productions were added.

Varius’ main hall is the Theatre Hall at the National Library, but performances have also been given at the Authors’ Building, museums etc. The culture productions have taken Varius to European countries (Germany, Austria, Luxemburg, Sweden), USA, Canada, Australia.
