Teoteater is a non-profit private theatre operating since 1991. From the year 2006, the theatre gives performances in a 50-seat black-box hall in Kalamaja.
The establishment was initially founded as an amateur theatre and now operates as a small repertoire theatre giving about 12 performances a month and 120 performances a year. Through the years, the repertoire has featured domestic and foreign dramaturgy, music and children’s productions.
Teoteater has conducted social theatre projects and organised entertainment events. The theatre has given visiting performances in Latvia, Finland, Norway, Sweden etc.
The creator and artistic manager of the theatre is Piret Viisimaa.
