Tartu New Theatre, which was established in 2008, is located in Tartu, but its range is not limited. It is aimed at developing the idea of theatre, whose activities exceed the news threshold both artistically and socially. Tartu New Theatre has been operating permanently in the Lai 37 theatre house (former gym) since 2011.
The artistic director of Tartu New Theatre is Ivar Põllu.
