Paide Teater defines, interprets and questions the role of art in the world of the 21st century and creates spaces and situations for meetings of artistic and non-artistic communities.

Paide Teater seeks medicine against the all-encompassing crisis of imagination, encourages social dialogue and community thinking with artistic means. 

Paide Teater was founded by a group of young theatre makers / idealists in 2018. Paide Teater operates in Paide, a small town in Central Estonia with about 10,000 inhabitants. About 100 kilometres from Tallinn, the capital. Approximately 2,000 kilometres from Paris. And about 7,000 kilometres from New York.

Paide Teater is led by a team of seven people: Jan Teevet (artistic director), Oliver Issak (dramaturg), Kirill Havanski (actor and composer), Johannes Richard Sepping (actor), Maria Paiste (actor), Kenn-Eerik Kannike (composer and sound artist) and Kairi Mändla (managing director).
