The Tallinn University Baltic Film, Media and Arts School focuses on telling stories through film curricula like film, audiovisual media, documentary film, and cinematography. Telling stories is also important in crossmedia, choreography, integrated art, music and multimedia, advertising and public relations, journalism, contemporary media, audiovisual arts and media studies curricula.
The choreography curriculum covers different aesthetics of movement from heritage to contemporary dance. The studies provide the opportunity to develop a personal creative style and receive professional preparation as a dancer, choreographer or dance teacher, instructor. There is cooperation with film, music and art students.
Studying choreography provides the opportunity to contribute to the development of dance education and shape professional dance in Estonia and abroad. As a dancer, choreographer, dance teacher or instructor, you can change opinions on movement and dance in general, and thereby influence political and social attitudes, because sometimes a single movement says more than several words.
