This Autumn greets the audience with a festive jubilee atmosphere gala that brings you both the well-known and the less known delights from the inexhaustible treasury of opera repertoire. The longest regularly operating classical music concert series, Vana Tallinn Gala celebrates its first jubilee – 10!

The first Vana Tallinn Gala took place on September 25, 2013. As it was a year that marked the world-wide celebrations of Giuseppe Verdi’s 200th anniversary, the first Vana Tallinn Gala was also the opening concert of the festival “Verdissimo!”. The season was altogether a grand celebration as the Estonian National Opera rejoiced in the 100th anniversary of the opening of the theatre house. Beginning from the 3rd concert, its date was brought forward a month and Vanemuine Concert House was added as a venue. Enn Kunila, patron of arts and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, AS Liviko the main sponsor of the theatre, has a big role in the birth and continuity of the gala tradition. He suggested renaming the previous International Music Day Opera Gala and beginning a new tradition.
