Toomas Suuman's masterful fantasy about a town and a man who was its head. A man who wished his town to be the prettiest in his country, whose person and seemingly crazy ideas bewildered his competitors. Despite all, he nevertheless managed to realise so many of his ideas. After him the town was never the same as it had been before. The name of the town is Viljandi. The man's name is August Maramaa.

Much of what the play shows actually happened. Less than one hundred years ago - when the War of Independence had ended and there was time until WW II.

The stage transforms into a town and its inhabitants, and the Boatman.
And many songs that we all know.

Dedicated to all mayors.
Premiere on 4 October 2008 in the framework of the 725th anniversary of the town of Viljandi at Ugala Theatre.
