The Knack is an English comedy about a girl who has recently arrived in London and meets three young men. The men are desperate to find the right 'knack' to win her heart. Why does it seem to be so easy for one and insuperably hard for the other? And what does the girl think? This play that revolves around flirtation and falling in love is characterised by carefree spirit, joy and situation humour. It was written in 1961 and brought remarkable success to the author when it was performed in London Royal Court Theatre. A film was also made based on this play. The film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 1965.
