Astrid Lindgren's "Pippi Longstocking" created a sensation when it was first published in 1945. Since then generations of children have grown up loving the book.
The musical by Ülo Vinter and Ülo Raudmäe premiered in Estonian National Opera in 1969 and has been in the programme to the joy of many generations of children: everybody knows the songs from the musical.
