Made in Estonia Maraton

lavastus-pic
SAAL's most popular performing arts festivity Made in Estonia Marathon will take place for the 15th time this year. It's a festival of short formats, where performers have a maximum of 10 minutes to do whatever they want on stage. The performance must be an original creation made especially for the marathon. Within a few hours a persona non grata can become a persona grata, a flash idea can become the end result, anyone can become an artist and the artist can become anyone. It's a non-curated festival to experience complete unexpectedness, but if we know anything – 10 minutes usually lasts for only 10 minutes.

If the marathon is usually divided into three sections: blackbox, video and empty stage, then this year we'll additionally have a punk section with a ready-made stage design for artists who are inspired by physical space. You can see the actual space only a few days before the event which makes it a game or a challenge of its own.

This year marathon will take place live.
All performances within the 10-minute frame are welcome.
Original creation, made especially for the marathon.
You can also use video.
Of course you can have a rehearsal.
Send us the names of the artist, a short description of your performance and a technical rider (if possible) by February 24.
Write to maraton@saal.ee.
If you wish to participate in the punk section let us know and we'll be in touch with you.

Tickets will be for sale on February 9!
