How the West Was Won

Author:
Akse Pettersson
Director:
Akse Pettersson
Premiere:
30th January, 2015
lavastus-pic

Additional performances in spring 2015: 7th, 8th, 9th and 11th of May.

The West is a big tavern where nobody is invited.

That is the basic metaphor for the new production by Akse Pettersson, a new generation talent of Finnish theatre.

Von Krahl’s actors squint their eyes and make their fingers look like pistols. A saloon is erected into the theatre hall where drinks are only served to the bold. Where whores carry knives in their stockings and the stormy night hides a hundred desperados hungry for revenge. This is the wild west where anyone can become free.

Because the west is a game that anyone can play.
