It is the year 1927. A man in a leather helmet and safety goggles is on his way to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a plane especially constructed for the occasion. Before him, no one has succeeded. He starts off from New York. People regard going to a trip like this in such a fragile aircraft too risky an action. That until the day when Charles Lindbergh lands near Paris in his plane called "The Spirit of St. Louis". Fighting the Fog, Snowstorm and Sleep, the young pilot achieves something that was first thought to be impossible. The 25-year old shy young man has become a hero.
This play written by Bertolt Brecht and directed by Bengt Andersson, is a story about man's unlimited possibilities to make his dreams come true. It is exiting, funny and touching. It is a real life story of a world-famous pilot.
Bengt Andersson's version of Bertolt Brecht's play based on documentary material (Charles Lindbergh's flight over the Atlantic Ocean in 1927).

Collaboration-project with Teater TRE.
Premiere: September 1, 2001, in Tallinn's City Theatre.
