Aleksander Pepeljajev has done it again! One of the leading modern dance theatre producers in Europe has together with the students of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre staged Goethe's Faust. But he has done it in a completely unexpected way.
Aleksander Pepeljajev has already made several productions in Estonia. He has mainly worked in co-operation with Von Krahl Theatre where he created his stage versions of many classical works such as, for example, Swan Lake. Two years ago Pepeljajev directed Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard which was played by the students of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and immediately became a hit.
Pepeljajev uses a lot of music and dance, also many metaphors and associations. An important part of his works is the improvisation of the actors that enables freedom of creation and unexpected turns. You will never be bored. Even if it is Faust.
