Time proceeds, states crumble, wars come and go, fashion changes. The town burns, the café burns too, but are soon built up again. Café W is still on the same place, people chat there, exchange news and read poetry. There is always a man sitting in the corner - a Stammgast - drinking coffee. Exploding bombs and the soldiers bustling about can never compete with a pot of aromatic coffee and good wine.
