Old age must by no means be regarded as merely spending the rest of your empty, hopeless days. Even when your nearest and dearest have betrayed and abandoned you. After all, fate might have a wonderful surprise in store, it could give you true love.

The works of the Italian playwright Aldo Nikolai are increasingly popular in Russian theatres. They are soaked with goodwill and gentleness, patience and tenderness, which we all miss so much today.

The play A Bit of Tenderness tells about love between old people who find themselves in an old people's home. It appears they had been waiting for this encounter all their lives.

The play is staged at the Russian Theatre by the Moscow theatre director Jelena Dolgina, whose productions have always enjoyed great popularity amongst the audience.

In the lead is Jelena Jakovleva, whose jubilee coincides with the production. In other roles Lilia Shinkarjova, Lidia Golovataja, Juri Zhilin.
