The genre of this poetic production is defined by three concepts: men, texts and a play in one act. The story of a man's life is really an abstract of the experienced emotions. So it is inevitable that pieces of each creator can be found in his work.

"St John's Passion" is the story of three Juhans - Liiv, Smuul and Viiding. The poems depict the feelings of three different generations, whilst allowing us to throw a glance at the lives of the three men.

They were men. They were poets. Paper was the battlefield. Pen was their weapon. Poetry was war. There are no amorous sighs, no wine or a guitar. There is no candlelight or sunset, no moonlight. There is just passion.
