Contemporary dance performances.
Choreographers: Oksana Titova, Marina Kesler

On the International Dance Day on 29 April 2007, the contemporary dance performances offer an opportunity to get acquainted with new trends of the young Estonian dance creators. The new stage productions of two talented choreographers Marina Kesler and Oksana Titova are based on the works of Estonian composers. Marina Kesler has derived inspiration for her dance performance from "Werewolf" by Estonian writer August Kitzberg. Oksana Titova brings on stage a dance story "Elsinore" based on Shakespeare's "Hamlet"

"Werewolf"
Director and choreographer: Marina Kesler
Music: L. Sumera, R. Kangro, V. Tormis, A. Pärt, T. Kõrvits
Choreographer's assistant: Ervin Green
Artist: Sirly Oder

Marina Kesler: ""Werewolf" deals with the eternal problems of man: the conflict between the community and the individual, envy and slander, people's need to fight for love and remain true to themselves without fearing to be different."

"Hamlet"
Director and choreographer: Oksana Titova
Music (author and performer): Taavi Kerikmäe
Artist: Elo Soode
Video: Andres Tenusaar

Oksana Titova: Everybody is more or less familiar with the story of "Hamlet", therefore I am not retelling the story in my dance performance. I rather offer my own vision of the atmosphere and metaphors which characterise the critical situations in the tragedy, their essence and consequences ... My "Hamlet" balances on the boundaries between body and mind, reason and instincts, loyalty and betrayal, pain and pleasure, death and rebirth ... All this becomes visible and sensible thorough the joint effect of body, sound, stage design and video."
